Benefits of Membership

Physicians may be frustrated by the present and future of their profession, mostly because of the increasingly complex and rapidly changing requirements and regulations of medical practice. NSIPA has successfully negotiated, on behalf of its members, advantageous contracts with Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) who share our dedication to high quality medical care.

These contracts provide improved reimbursement rates and participation in profit sharing and quality improvement bonuses not available to individual physician contracts. Contract participation is not mandatory: members may pick and choose none, some, or all of our group contracts. We perform delegated credentialing of our provider members on behalf of the HMOs, which simplifies and shortens the process. Our providers don’t have to fill up multiple applications and credentialing forms, therefore reducing the paperwork that takes so much of a physician’s valuable time. We also serve as liaison between our members and the HMOs, easing and speeding the resolution of issues, and streamlining communication with the insurers.
